I have been traveling a lot for work over the last several weeks, so it has helped, a little, to keep my mind off of the process. Poor Doug, every day, I call, no matter where I am in the U.S., to ask him if 1) he has picked up the mail and 2) if he opened the mail, mainly because we are waiting for our fingerprint appointment. On Tuesday, I decided to call WHFC, to ask them what was going on and if they could find out where our appoitment letter was (still nervous it got lost in the mail, much like my notarized letter from GSK was lost back in September). They kindly emailed Boston USCIS, and much to my surprise, Boston USCIS still didn't have us in their computer system. This didn't make much sense to me, especially since our application had been sent 2 weeks prior, and I thought it had been sent directly to Boston. But, not so fast. Apparently, at the same time we submitted our I600A, the process changed. All documents get sent to Texas, forwarded to Missouri, then to Boston. Boston then processes what had already been processed in Texas, and at that time, will send us our fingerprint appointment. So....the waiting continues....hopefully we will hear some good news soon and get printed so we can officially get on the wait list! On another note, we sent an email to Maria, our case worker, and are hoping to talk to her tomorrow before the end of the day (or better yet, get in to meet her).
