The carpet was installed and the walls painted this August. I keep the door closed (partly because I don't want to be reminded every time I walk by, and partly because we have two dogs, one of whom is a little older with a bladder issue). I don't want to spend too much time in there quite yet, but, because I some of my casual clothes are kept in the two dressers, I have to pop in every now and again. We decided on a "jungle animal" theme, mainly because it was fairly unisex, and I didn't want to wait to start the room (again, patience is not my virtue). We have both purchased several stuffed animals, and Home Goods has become my friend. I found an adorable director's chair and a giraffe laundry basket, among other neat finds. I have also started the book collection, after getting some adoption children's book ideas on-line at tapestry.com and then purchasing them on amazon. One of the books is written in both English and Amharic. Pretty neat!
