The paperwork wasn't all we had to complete. I had to fill out a form with several key resources that I may need to call on when our child comes home (social workers, doctors, dentists, early intervention, etc.). I had to document that I spoke to several families about their experiences. We had to take a handful of on-line classes, and, we spent one full Saturday at an adoption class with 10-12 other families. I have to say, we both agree that it was one of the best surprises thus far. Nobody wants to spend a gorgeous September Saturday inside all day, but we learned so much about attachment, food issues, etc., that it was totally worth our while. Most families were in the same part of the process that we were....waiting to complete our homestudy.
