Merry Christmas and a Happy & Healthy 2012!

Before I post about the dreadful New Year/New Decade that I am about to enter, I figured I would at least end 2011 on a happy note!  I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas, and that 2012 brings everybody health, happiness, referrals, and the ability to bring our children home!!!

Christmas Eve party at our house with family.  We bought this dress in October, and I made her wait to wear it (mean Mommy!).  God, she looks beautiful!

A little Christmas morning bribery.  I wanted a quick picture before they started to tear open their gifts!

Stockings were finished, now for the "big" stuff.

Mr M trying to find gifts with his name.  Last year, we had to put them in separate piles.  Amazing what a year can do!

We took the kids for an overnight to Mystic, Connecticut.  The Marriott had a pool.  Need I say more?

At Todd English's "Tuscony" for an early birthday dinner with Mommy.  Oh, did I mention that it was in a casino?  The irony: D and I don't gamble.  Like, at all.

After dinner, we headed on over to Kids Quest.  Any game that they can actually ride/drive is a big hit.

The next morning, we went to the Mystic Aquarium.  Note the "African" Penguins in the background.

Happy 2012!!!!

  3. It was so special being with you for Christmas and seeing the delight in Biskut & Muse's eyes when they discovered that Santa had agreed they had been very good children. Such an amazing transformation in just 18 months! Last year "The
Elf on the Shelf" had no meaning, but this time they were total believers!
Thank you for having me over the holidays :)
Happy birthday, Amy, my precious "new year baby."
    Love XO, Mom
