Cracking Us Up

I am not one to journal, which is part of the reason that I am trying to maintain our blog.  I want something that M&B can refer to when they are old like their Mom :)

M&B HATE bedtime.  They don't like anything about it, and we have tried everything to make it somewhat enjoyable.  Baths, books, television....forget it.  All they want to do is party like the rock stars that they apparently think they are.  We have tried our bed, M's bed with B, B's bed with M, separate, together, together on the floor (you get the picture).

Two nights ago, we put them to bed in our bed (and after they fall asleep, Doug gently lifts them up out of our bed and carries them to their respective bedrooms).  Biskut decided that it really wasn't fair that they had to go to bed and the two adults in the house get to stay up, so, she came to the top of the stairs, as she often does, and shouted this:

"Muse, Biskutee - night night,
Mommy, Daddy downstairs
I don't think so!!!"

Of course, we were trying to relax watching Modern Family, but I made Doug pause the show.....I wanted to be sure what I thought I heard was what she said.

I replied, "Muse, Biskutee what???"

And she repeated,

"Muse, Biskutee - night night,

Mommy, Daddy downstairs,
I don't think so!!!"

I laughed hysterically. 

They have always had a good sense of humor.  They are very happy kids.  And as their English improves, they are becoming more bold.  Some things they say are in their proper context, other things said are definitely not.  But one thing is for sure, they crack us up every single day.
